History of YVVAN
YVVAN is founded 2001. John Watts has developed the logo and the matching house style. The logo shows the connection between the high-frequency intuitive energy and the much slower earthly matter. The eye is considered to be the portal to the soul
My Soul at Work (2001)
is set up together with Jos Niesten as a ‘community’ on the internet for people in organizations who want to share their stories with each other. The focus is on innovation and growth. The art of storytelling is used to make old patterns visible within organizations. By telling, listening and reflecting, new insights emerge that make it possible to re-frame these patterns. This creates anopportunity for new solutions that add value to the company in which people work.
In 2006 the site went off line again. The art of storytelling still holds an important position in the way Gérard Lentz likes to work.
Inner Sense (2004)
is a consultancy firm founded by Brigitte van Baren. Together with Jan Maarten Hensel, Leo Oosterom and Gérard Lentz, she wants to realize an increasing personal depth in the business world. By making executives in the business world more aware of who they really are and thus realizing their business ambitions. Their style of management is being nurtured by an inner source and therefore more authentic. Meditation, coaching and a unique style of organizing workshops with experiential learning, makes this development possible.
Inner Sense is connected to the Benediktushof – Zentrum für spirituele Wege – led by Willigis Jäger. His Zen philosophy is an important source of inspiration for Inner Sense. We have worked for various organizations, such as Philips, Shell, Van Lanschot Bankiers, Woonbedrijf Ieder 1, SHV and Albron.
At the beginning of 2008, the original founder, Brigitte van Baren, continued with a renewed focus on Inner Sense.
Family Succession (2007)
Together with a group of experienced advisors (Siebe de Haan, Leo Oosterom, Hans Gotink, Ellen Luten, Leidje Witte), operating under the name Family Succession, the forces are joined to guide families in the succession process for their company – the most critical period in the life cycle of the family business.
The scope is the entire succession process, where they prefer to go where the family system and the company’s system coincide. In 2012 Gérard relaunches Family Succession as 2.0.
Since 2014 Family Succession is a member of The New Tradition.
Student Company (2008)
Since 2008 Gérard has been associated with Student Company as a supervisor. It is a foundation that has been providing schools with practical entrepreneurial programs for 25 years, full of enthusiasm and expertise.
Young people get to know their entrepreneurial side. They discover and develop their talent and develop their entrepreneurial attitude.
Through the programs of Student Company, education is well aligned with society and industry. The economy requires entrepreneurial employees and pioneering entrepreneurs. After all, everyone is an entrepreneur of his or her own future. In his role as a mentor of a student company, he shares his knowledge and experience with young people and coaches them during the first difficult steps in entrepreneurship.
IFMS in the Medical Department (2010)
IFMS stands for Individual Functioning Medical Specialists.
IFMS is focused on improving the professional conduct of medical specialists. We offer an effective variant: IFMS in the Department. Leo Oosterom is founder and initiator. Together with Antoinette Niessen and Gérard Lentz, he has further shaped this initiative. The vision is that effective communication in the department in which medical specialists give each other feedback, supported by feedback from the work environment (multisource), is crucial for good patient care. That is why we organize IFMS in the Department. The direct feedback of each other with external professional guidance is not found in the bilateral system of the Order of Medical Specialists (OMS). In other methods, such as intervision, discussions are held about casuistry, but feedback from the work environment is lacking. IFMS in the Department fulfills the quality requirements set by the OMS, IGZ and NIAZ.
Since 2017 the proposition of IFMS was transferred to the VVAA. Antoinette and Gérard now continue to facilitate these meetings for the VVAA.
The New Tradition (2014)
Family succession has been a member of The New Tradition since 2014. A cooperative between Family succession, Family, Talent & Company (Jeannette van den Ingh) and Family management (Kees Burghgraef).
The New Tradition is especially for business families who want to be successful from generation to generation. She offers tutorials, round table discussions, guidance on generational changes and temporary external management.
Since 2016 Kees Burghgraef and Gérard Lentz continued The New Tradition together.
The Glass Elephant (2015)
In the spring of 2015, Jeannette van den Ingh and Gérard Lentz of The New Tradition and Taco van der Feltz and Albert Froom of Leaders Trust started a cycle of roundtables with eight directors of family businesses who have the role of commissioner with family matters in their portfolio or Chairman of a Foundation Board.
Sometimes there are conversations that one actually does not want to have or cannot carry through, but one knows they should. Often these conversations are about complex dilemmas, they are peppered with lots of emotion and call for courageous action. They are the ‘Elephants’ in the room of the business family, everyone knows they are there, but nobody talks about them.
The purpose of these meetings is to inquire together a number of these complex dilemmas and to experience what is needed to carry them through.
Since 2017 Albert Froom and Gérard Lentz continued to initiate these conversational meetings on a yearly basis.
